Welcome to Pack 420's Website and Information Portal!
Pack 420 is located in Duluth, Georgia. Our pack was established in 1986 under the charter of Duluth First United Methodist Church. We are open to 1st through 5th graders and average close to 100 scouts in our pack. We have a fun and active pack where you and your son can learn what scouting is all about.
We welcome our visitors to look around our public sections of our website. For Pack 420 registered members, you may access the secure sections of the website by logging in the site. If you are a registered member of the Pack and do not have a User Name & Password, please send an email to the Website Administrator from the "Contact Us" section on the left Menu bar. Happy Scouting !!
Why is Cub Scouting important? Cub Scouting helps to instill core values: to do their best, help others, and serve God and America are a few of the promises a new Cub Scout makes. Cub Scouts are also taught to respect nature, to be kind to those who are different, to be self-sufficient, and many other positive character traits. Along the way, Cub Scouts also get to make new friends, try new things, learn new skills, and visit new places. Being a Cub Scout is a self-esteem building, positive experience.

Webelos Woods
BUTTON GWINNETT DISTRICT- ATLANTA AREA COUNCIL
March 20th – 21st, 2010
Bert Adams Scout Reservation -- Camp Gorman
Webelos Woods is a weekend Camporee just for Webelos scouts. Bring your patrol to Camp Gorman at Bert Adams Scout Reservation for knot-tying, fire-starting, bridge-building, pancake-flipping fun. Enjoy an afternoon of archery and BB practice, capped by the magnificent flour battle for the Webelos II Scouts. And to top it all off, a roaring bonfire in the evening with skits, songs, and surprises. For the last 17 years, this has been a very successful and exciting event for hundreds of Button Gwinnett Webelos scouts. Check-in is at 8:15 am on Saturday morning and the activities begin at 9:00 am at the Camp Gorman Pavilion. See your Den Leader for registration.

Celebrating 100 Years - A Year of Celebration
A Year of Celebration officially launched on September 1 and runs through December 31, 2010. The program is open to all Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers, adult leaders, and Scouting alumni.
(See the attached for a program overview and for more specific information for youth, adults and Scouting alumni)
For 100 years, the Boy Scouts of America has created a strong foundation of leadership, service, and community for millions of America's youth. Through A Year of Celebration, A Century of Making a Difference, we will demonstrate the incredible impact of a century of living the Scout Law.
Program participants can earn recognition for making a difference in their communities through their dedication to five of Scouting's core values: Leadership, Character, Community Service, Achievement, and the Outdoors. Through that commitment, participants can earn each of five award ribbons to display from our 100th Anniversary commemorative patch.
I would challenge each member of the Pack to participate in this program as a way of helping to celebrate 100 years of Scouting and as a way of rededicating themselves to the spirit and principles of Scouting.

We will begin the God and Family and the God and Me Program January 24, 2010.
Wolves and Bears can earn the God and Me award. The God and Me curriculum is designed to help children become best friends with Jesus and tell their story of “God and Me” together. Children will make games and keep them in a GAMEBOX (God And Me Exploring BOX). These games will reinforce the Bible lessons and provide opportunities for families to explore God’s love together.
Webelos can earn the God and Family award. Discover how building and strengthening families can be compared to making pizza. Study the Bible to learn about God’s recipe for living together as children of our heavenly Father.
For more information see the flyers attached.
